Abstract:

The article examines the influence of foreign languages on the communication of young people. Youth discourse vividly illustrates the current cultural and linguistic level of modern society and helps to predict its future development and direction. Many modern new slang, slang, hybrid words and other linguistic inventions of young people in speech also became a common trend of the standard language, as they were firmly fixed as normal. To demonstrate the problem, we present a thorough discursive analysis of the language materials of the YouTube channel as a resource of youth discourse. The investigation involves popular youth TV shows, video clips, comedy shows, vines, and movies.

Keywords: youth discourse, youth language, standard language, Internet discourse, multilingualism, bilingualism.
