Abstract:

With the adoption of the new development agenda, the global economy will face serious problems in the field of financing the current gap in infrastructure, especially in developing countries. In addition to the public sector´s efforts to finance investment in infrastructure, the private sector should play a more active role. In later times, the release of sukuk began to be seen as one of the potential solutions to mobilize financial resources of the private sector and encourage private capital to invest in the development of public infrastructure. However, the available data shows that today only a few countries have managed to develop their sukuk markets. Structuring sukuk in such a way that it is theoretically developed will be a very difficult task for developing countries. Developing countries should prepare the foundation for the implementation of sukuk production and infrastructure projects to attract private capital.
