The paper explores the use of Video Content Analytics (VCA) in security systems for crime prevention and evidence collection. It highlights the main challenges of traditional video surveillance methods, such as the difficulty of real-time video monitoring, the risk of missing critical details due to human error, and the time-consuming nature of post-incident video analysis. The author examines the benefits of implementing VCA, including the automation of video data analysis, the identification of key events and objects, and the ability to predict potentially dangerous situations. The study concludes that VCA can be integrated with other security systems, such as facial recognition and automatic detection of suspicious objects, enabling not only reactive but also proactive crime prevention. Additionally, VCA is emphasized as a tool for evidence collection, significantly reducing the time required for video data processing and improving the accuracy of analysis.
